Just wanted to share something awkward I overheard my cousin say to a girl: We were all at a restaurant playing cards after it had closed. Tying to get a girl away from the table for some alone talking time my cousin said "Hey ______ do you have to go to the bathroom?" I found your site the other week when I typed ‘awkward’ into Google – I really liked what I read, so have decided to start from the very beginning.

OKk, this is hilarious simply because I'm seventeen years old and have a hot young physics teacher who also has a hot younger brother. I don't think you guys should feel awkward, i definitely think that girl took it to the extreme but if you squirm, it makes it all not worth it. (At least from my perspective) It shows them that you are taking obvious note of their attraction to you and you loose the authoritative figure, which would be your downfall. I'm really laughing it up on this one. The flirtiest I get with my physics teacher is telling him he's got boggers in his nose then laughing it up. My idea of flirting with a teacher, fyi. To which I would reply, "Sit down and shut up." It made me feel I was doing something wrong, that I must have done something inappropriate somehow for this to happen... and I had a hard time looking those girls in the eye once I found out they had crushes. It's just psychology, like you said, but it still is very awkward... you live in fear of your life when you're a young male teacher, because any accusation of impropriety, even false ones, have the potential to ruin your life.
